Retro Twist 'Your Project' Unfinished Table Kits
include the following:
1. Table Top pre-sanded MDF wood, ready to finish.
2. Hardwood Table Legs with floor protecting swivel
glides at the feet.
3. Leg attaching brackets and screws.
4. T-moulding for the table edge.
Apply masking tape around table top edge to protect
T-moulding channel 'groove' from getting clogged with primer or paint.

Prime the table surface with a spray or brushed on primer color closest
to, and lighter than your paint color. Follow manufacturers directions.
If you are going to decoupage, tile, fabric cover or veneer the top, no
primer coat is needed.
Apply your finish and topcoat and or seal for protection.
Allow to fully dry before proceeding.

Leg mounting brackets install with screws provided.
( Be careful not to over tighten the screws.)
Make sure the angle on the bracket is lowest towards the outside edge
of the table top. Legs will now hand tighten into the brackets

It is best to push the T-moulding in with your fingers, and then tap with
a hammer, into the channel around the table edge. Start at a spot less
noticed on the top, like an inside curve. This will be your seam.
Make sure you are staying in the channel as you go around by pushing
first, then tapping with your hammer.

You will need to make 'relief ' cuts in the T-moulding at the tighter
outside and inside curves.
Be careful when using a knife, razor blade or
sharp scissors, as the polyurethane moulding is thick.
At the outside curves, make a small 'V 'shaped cut into the part of the
moulding that goes into the channel. This will let the moulding go
smoothly around the curve.
On inside curves, a 'V' cut is not necessary, simply make a straight cut
on the part of the moulding that goes into the channel.

Cut final end of moulding 1/4" longer than matching up point and push
this end against starting point. Tap the final 1" of the moulding into
the channel for a tight seam.
